- Using M3D Crane Quad Printer
- STL files generated by M3D
- Voxelizer 2 Experimental (v2.1.0-2019-07-15-windows)
Recent gcode files generated using all fail to successfully print properly, after the Bottom layer (configured as type Brim). Each successive layer, after the Bottom layer is created, which prints as expected, doesn’t adhere to the previous layer, therefore the filament releases from the artifact and the loose filament ‘hits’ the printhead and nozzle… in some cases, melting on the print nozzle, print nozzle block and shroud.
Generating gcode from Voxelizer, had worked in the past
Attempts to resolve this issue have included:
Restore to default (within Help)
Results: the next time the application started it requested the user to identify the printer, and the color settings returned to default, it appears file history and such remained. Generated gcode file successful bottom layer, failed for actual artifact.
Uninstalled and re-installed the Voxelizer 2 application (with a fresh downloaded version of the application)
Results: file history and such remained, presume other user config setting also remained… meaning there are some temp files or other such files that aren’t removed when the application is uninstalled. Generated gcode file successful bottom layer, failed for actual artifact.
I’ve tried to print things multiple times and now I’m just wasting filament.
